Deposit Requirements
For group and special event reservations, made at least 24 hours in advance, a deposit is required to secure the booking. The deposit amount is £10 per paying adult for daytime bookings, and £20 per person for our adult-only evening dinner service.
Deposits can be paid by cash in person, at the restaurant, or via Stripe, our online payment partner. Deposits are refundable if the reservation is cancelled at least 72 hours before the scheduled date. Please note, specific policies relating to 'Experiences' or Special Events may be applicable, please contact reservations@eightatgazegill.co.uk for more information.
For ALL bookings, credit or debit card details will be required in order to secure the booking. These details will be requested via a secure email from OpenTable – we do not take card details over the phone or via email.

If your booking is for 6 persons or fewer, and you increase the number of guests to 7 or more, our deposit procedure will be triggered as outlined above. This must be paid separately, in addition to providing card details, in order for the booking to be confirmed.

If a deposit is not paid, this does not constitute cancellation of the booking.
No-Show Policy
A "no-show" occurs when a guest fails to honour their reservation without notifying the
restaurant. No-shows disrupt the restaurant's operations and deny other guests the
opportunity to dine with us. Therefore, the following policies apply:
-
For standard reservations, a no-show fee of £10 per person will be charged to the guest's credit card on file.
-
For evening reservations, a no-show fee of £20 per person will be charged to the guest's credit card on file
-
For group and special event reservations, the deposit will be forfeited.
Late Arrival Policy
Guests are requested to arrive on time for their reservation. If a guest is running late, they should notify the restaurant as soon as possible. Reservations will be held for a grace period of 30 minutes. After this time, the table may be released to other guests. Late arrivals may result in a shortened dining time or the need to wait for the next available table.
Special Requests and Accommodations
Eight at Gazegill is committed to providing an exceptional dining experience for all guests. We will do our best to accommodate special requests, including:
-
Dietary preferences, restrictions and allergies
-
Seating preferences (e.g. booth, by window)
-
Highchairs for children
-
Accessibility needs
Guests should inform us of any special requests at the time of making the reservation. While we strive to meet all requests, we cannot guarantee availability.
Privacy & Confidentiality
Eight at Gazegill values the privacy of our guests. All personal information collected during the reservation process will be used solely for the purpose of managing reservations and providing a personalised dining experience. We will not share, sell, or disclose any personal information to third parties without the guest's consent, except as required by law.
Changes to Reservation Policy
